Fajitos with chicken - 7 recipes for Mexican dishes


Fajitos (fajita, fajitas) is a popular Mexican dish of meat and vegetables, sliced ​​in strips and grilled.

Most often, beef is used to make fajitos, although pork or chicken is acceptable. Vegetables are usually taken onions, sweet peppers and chili. All ingredients are fried and served hot. It turns out a kind of filling for thin tortilla tortillas.

  • chicken fillet 500 g
  • vegetable oil 1 tbsp. l
  • red onion 1 pc.

  • bell pepper 1 pc.
  • tortillas and serving sauce

  • vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l
  • lemon juice 1 tbsp. l
  • soy sauce 2 tbsp. l
  • garlic 1 tooth.
  • 1/3 chili pepper
  • ground paprika 1 tsp.
  • salt 1/3 tsp
  • a mixture of ground peppers 2 chips.


I wash the chicken fillet and cut into thin strips. I peel and chop the straws. Peppers of different colors are peeled from seeds and stalks, and then cut into thin strips.

For dressing, mix in a separate bowl: vegetable oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, as well as crushed garlic and chili. Add ground paprika, salt and a mixture of ground peppers to them. Mix well with a whisk until the salt crystals dissolve.

Now I'm starting to roast. I heat the pan with a small amount of vegetable oil and fry the chicken pieces over high heat - about 8-10 minutes.

As soon as all the liquid from the pan evaporates, I add the bell pepper and onion to the fillet at the same time. Fry for another 2-3 minutes. The optimal degree of frying is considered when the pieces of pepper are fried on the outside and inside are still slightly damp.

Then fill in with dressing and stew all together for 5 minutes. It turns out very tasty, the chicken completely incorporates the taste and aroma of vegetables, soaked in sauce.

Fajitos with chicken serve hot, hot in the heat. Chili, salsa or guacamole sauce are perfect as a complement. Separately, I serve grated cheese and corn tortillas - you can buy them, but it is better, of course, to cook tortillas with your own hands in order to fully experience the taste of real Mexican cuisine. Classic chicken fajitos

A classic Mexican appetizer uses beef. Chicken makes the dish less high-calorie and light. The spicy mixture can be wrapped in a corn tortilla immediately, and can be served separately for the components of the filling.

  • chicken meat - 500 g,
  • oil - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • Crimean onion - 1 head,
  • white onion - 1 head,
  • fleshy red or yellow pepper - 1 pc.,
  • corn tortillas - by number of people or more.

Dressing for meat:

  • vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • Teriyaki sauce - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • garlic cloves - 1 pc.,
  • chili pepper - 1/3 of the pod,
  • paprika powder - 1 tsp.,
  • salt - a pinch
  • powder mixture of peppers - 1 tsp.

Step by step recipe:

  1. Fresh fillet cut into thin long bars.
  2. Chop the onion into strips.
  3. Peppers are cleaned from seeds and white "membranes", chopped with strips.
  4. Combine the oil in a bowl with soy and lemon juice, salt and pepper mixture. Add chopped garlic and chili.
  5. Stir the dressing until the salt is completely dissolved.
  6. We heat the pan with 1 tbsp. l oils. On it we fry for 10 minutes slices of chicken.
  7. When the excess liquid from the pan evaporates, spread the chopped onion and sweet pepper, simmer for 3 minutes.
  8. Pour the mixture with sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  9. The chicken will take in the juice and the smell of vegetables, it will come out very juicy, aromatic and tasty.

You can cook fajitos with chicken in any situation. This is a mouth-watering and hearty treat that combines juicy chicken meat with al-dente vegetables and mouth-watering sauce.

  • sweet peppers - 2 colored pieces,

  • white wine - 70 ml

  • tortillas - 6-7 pcs.

  • vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • soy and lemon juice - 2 tbsp each. l.,
  • garlic cloves - 1 pc.,
  • chilli - 1/3 pcs.,
  • paprika powder - a pinch
  • a mixture of peppers, powdered - 1 tsp.,
  • coarse salt - a pinch.

Step-by-step process of preparing a Mexican elegant dish:

  1. We clear the chicken of fat and veins, wash and chop the cubes.
  2. Peeled onions and peppers are also cut into thin strips.
  3. We warm the oil in the "Frying" mode in the multicooker bowl. We spread chicken in it and fry the whetstones until golden with the unit cover open.
  4. Add vegetables to the chicken, close the lid and simmer for 3 more minutes in the “Stew” mode.
  5. For dressing, combine in a bowl soy sauce with lemon juice (can be replaced with lime), pour chopped garlic and chopped thinly chili. Add salt and pepper, mixing well.

  4. We put yellow pepper sliced ​​into strips to the onion and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Next, put in a pan chopped 1 tomato and combine vegetables with meat.
  6. The remaining tomato is cut into cubes, mixed with lemon juice and chopped cilantro. Pour pepper and salt.
  7. Combine the raw green mass with the finished filling.

  • chicken and beef - 400 g each,
  • red Crimean onion - 2 heads,
  • bright sweet peppers - 2 pcs.,
  • refined oil - 5 tbsp. l.,
  • lime - 1 pc.,
  • thick sour cream - 1 glass,
  • ground aromatic cinnamon - 1 tsp.,
  • cumin and oregano - a pinch,
  • cane sugar - 1 tsp,
  • chili - 2 pods,
  • garlic cloves - 4 pcs.,
  • cheddar cheese - 150 g,
  • tomato salsa - 250 g,
  • tortillas - 10 pcs.

The cooking method in steps:

  1. We wash the meat, remove the films and layers of fat.
  2. We divide the chicken into cubes, divide the lime into halves and squeeze the juice from it into a cup. Pour oregano with cumin, sugar and cinnamon into the juice.
  3. Immerse the chicken meat in the marinade and leave for 1.5 hours.
  4. Cut the beef into strips, chop the garlic smaller, and chilli into small squares.
  5. In the container we combine the oil with garlic and chili. Place the beef in the marinade and leave for 1.5 hours.
  6. We chop the onion rings, and divide the pepper into straws.
  7. Grill vegetables by pouring vegetable oil.
  8. Next, fry the beef in oil, then brown the fillet.
  9. Three cheese on a grater with small holes.

We put beef, vegetable ingredients and chicken on the dish. Serve tortillas separately. Additionally, in deep bowls, put salsa, cheese and thick sour cream.
